Nursery
Our Nursery Caregiver, Lina, can watch over your littlest ones up to 2 years old throughout the 10:15 a.m. service in the Wyatt Hall Nursery off the Courtyard.
Godly Play
Children from 3 years old through 2nd grade can join us in the Godly Play room in Wyatt Hall during the 10:15 service. Classes start at 10:00 in order to give our children plenty of time for their lessons before they rejoin their parents for Holy Communion in the church.
Sunday School
Children from 3rd grade and up can join us in the Sunday School classroom in Wyatt Hall during the 10:15 service. As with Godly Play above, classes start at 10:00, and the children will rejoin their parents in the service for Holy Communion.
Youth Group
St. Bede’s is kicking off a new gathering for youth at 4:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month, starting in September, 2023. Be on the lookout for more information available through our weekly eNews newsletter about plans for each gathering.
SoulWork
SoulWork is our name for adult education on Sunday mornings. Our discussions begin following the 8:00 a.m. service in Lehman Hall across the Courtyard from the main Sanctuary building, after we’ve had a chance to greet one another at Coffee Hour. We typically being around 9:10 a.m. and continue until 10:00 a.m.
Our discussions are typically, but not exclusively, led by our Rector. On occasion, our discussion will be led by members of the parish as they present a topic of interest to them. Topics may include matters of a scriptural or theological nature, historical, or relating to contemporary events and how they intersect with our faith.
During the summer months, we meet at 8:30 a.m. for a discussion of the Lectionary readings for that Sunday, or whatever topic we find meaningful for ourselves that day.
St. Bede’s parishioners seek opportunities to serve those in need. Over the years we’ve provided support to a wide range of organizations, both local and around the world. Outreach projects welcome all participants: younger or older; those with families or those who are single.
Our parish focuses its efforts on three needs in particular: helping the unhoused and the food insecure, and providing educational assistance to those in need. Whether we are cooking a dinner for a homeless shelter, wrapping presents for families in need at Christmas, or making auction bids at the annual Gala, we collectively join hands to reach out in support of others.
Music is an integral part of our worship and a hallmark of what St. Bede’s has to offer to our community. The voices of the choir, along with the beautiful playing of our gifted organist, draw many parishioners to the 10:15 service. Under the guidance of our talented music director, we enjoy a variety of musical arrangements and genre that make Scripture come to life for us.
Our Von Beckerath pipe organ is exceptional, filling the sanctuary with its beautiful sound. A number of talented instrumentalists in our parish also enhance our worship. In addition to weekly services, the choir offers evensongs and performances that highlight various composers. Our ensemble often joins other local church choirs for collaborative celebrations.
