Parish Staff

Rector

We have begun a search for a new rector at St. Bede’s. During this interim, Sunday services will be conducted by a rotating group of priests who will be with us regularly. If you are interested in learning more about the rector’s position at St. Bede’s — or know someone who may be — please contact the Office of the Transition Minister at the Diocese of California.

Katherine McKee

Music Director
kmckee@stbedesmenlopark.org

Kathy has served as music director at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in San Francisco, conductor at San Francisco Boys Chorus, public school music teacher, and most recently as music director at First Lutheran Church in Palo Alto. In June 2014 she was named music director of the San Francisco Renaissance Voices, after serving as their assistant music director for seven years. As a private vocal studio instructor, she teaches adult professional and amateur singers who sing with San Francisco Symphony Chorus, community and professional theater groups, local opera companies, and church choirs. A cradle Episcopalian, Kathy has a love of liturgy and appreciation of the Anglican musical tradition as well as a deep knowledge of vocal pedagogy.

Rani Fischer

Organist

Rani has been playing the organ since she was twelve in Richmond, Virginia. She is a graduate of the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has studied with Betty Lou Johnson, Larry Schipull, Grant Moss, Margaret Irwin-Brandon, and Peter Sykes.  She has served on the boards of the Boston Clavichord Society, the American Guild of Organists, and has attended the McGill Summer Organ Academy.  Apart from St. Bede’s she also teaches math at College of San Mateo and De Anza College.

Siri Huntoon

Parish Administrator

When not laying out scripture and music in bulletins, Siri can be found supervising St. Bede’s gracious 5-acre campus: ensuring that contemplative Jarrow Garden is healthy and full of life, parking lot lights are on for St. Bede’s joyous choir, and the Viking Range is ready to cook a delicious dinner for the local unhoused. Most weekends you’ll find her outside, sketching wildflowers, embroidering over a stain on a favorite sweater, or nose deep in the latest sci-fi. She came to St. Bede’s from Stanford, where she worked in the School of Earth Dean’s Office, and at Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve.
