Sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord the whole earth!
Ps 96

St. Bede’s Choir

The choir at St. Bede’s is a welcoming group of about sixteen singers who enjoy leading the congregation in the singing of hymns and service music. We also offer anthems, either accompanied by the organ or piano, or unaccompanied to supplement the beauty of our 10:15am Sunday morning Eucharist. We enjoy singing a wide range of music: we sing Gregorian chant, Renaissance motets, and up through the centuries to the present day. We’ll sing almost anything: it just has to be good music!

In addition to singing on Sunday mornings, September through June, we have also offered services marking special times in the church’s year: Advent and Christmas Services of Lessons and Carols; a meditative Good Friday liturgy with congregational hymns, choral anthems, poetry and scripture; and Choral Evensongs.

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, from 7:30 to 9, and on Sunday mornings from 9:15am.

We welcome new singers, and, if you’re interested, we invite you to join us on a Wednesday evening. Some degree of sight singing will be helpful, although we do have section leaders to help the lines along.

If you are interested in joining us or would like more information, please contact our Music Director:
